George McNeely is an architectural historian, lecturer, editor and writer.
For the past three years he was the Vice President for International Affairs at World Monuments Fund (WMF), the premier international organization working to protect against the loss of the world’s architectural heritage, comprising the built environment, the artworks that embellish it, and the cultural traditions that it sustains.
Prior to joining WMF, George was with Christie’s for 15 years, mostly as a senior vice president in Business Development and the Chairman’s office. Previously he worked at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and in management consulting.
George has a BA in art history from Princeton University and an MBA in real estate finance from the Columbia Business School.
McNeely has also served as the charity auctioneer for hundreds of charity events throughout the United States and abroad. His auctioneering skills have also lead to television appearances, including on Law & Order.
